Welcome to your NEW Hamilton Island Achievers Blog for 2010
In a few days qualifiers to Achievers 2010 will be heading off on a fabulous Amway Achievers trip to beautiful Hamilton Island. Unlike most islands off the east coast of Australia, Hamilton Island is used almost exclusively for tourism and business conferences.
Like most islands in the Whitsunday group, Hamilton Island was formed as sea levels rose creating numerous drowned mountains that are situated close to the east coast of Queensland, Australia. The island has been extremely popular as a tourist destination and was featured in the successful Queensland Tourism’s “Best Job in the World” promotion.

Hamilton Island Fun Facts
Apart from the highly publicised Tourism Queensland “The Best Job In The World” promotion the island has some fun facts.
- A long term lease on the island was purchased in 1975 by Keith Williams and Bryan Keith Williams was and remains one of the true pioneers of tourism and hospitality in Queensland.
- The first resort was opened in 1984 and that year Amway staged our Achievers in the resort, but a fire destroyed the central resort complex in April 1985. The resort was reopened in time for our second Achievers there in 1985 and such was the success of this venue that we [ Read More ] >
