Celebrating a first

Holly Chen and Barry Chi of Taiwan have a motto about their Amway business: “Don’t make it the biggest.  Make it the best.”

Barry and Holly are being honored today for being the first to achieve the rank of Founders Crown Ambassador with 70 Founders Achievement Award (FAA) points. Amway launched the FAA incentives in 1991 as a way to reward  growth among its top distributors. Special recognition is given to Founders Crown Ambassadors who achieve 40, 50, 60 and now, with Holly and Barry’s achievement, 70 FAA points.

Barry and Holly arrived at Amway World Headquarters to a cheering throng of hundreds of distributors,  employees and members of their family.  The couple were greeted by Amway Chairman Steve Van Andel, who joked that we need a bigger lobby to hold all those who wanted to celebrate a “great couple and a great achievement.”

Holly and Barry thanked the Amway staff for creating products they’re “proud to sell” and for supporting the business opportunity they embraced back in 1982.

“Today, I stand as proof to the world that the Amway Sales and Marketing Plan works,” Barry told the crowd.  “There wouldn’t be us without you.”
