Java with Rich & Jay
Visitors to the Amway Taiwan headquarters in Taipei get perks – delivered by the baristas at the on-site R&J Café.
A coffee shop on the ground floor of the building, the R&J Café is a gathering place for employees, business owners, prospects and the general public that bustles with activity every day. The name is a tribute to Amway founders Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel. Business owners can even earn BV (business volume) on their coffee orders.
The first R&J Café was launched in 2004 in Amway Taiwan’s Experience Plaza in Taoyuan, which is the main distribution, customer service and product purchasing center in Taiwan. The Experience Plaza includes a skywalk that crisscrosses the distribution warehouse allowing more than 13,000 annual visitors to observe operations without disturbing the staff.
The R&J moniker is also used for Amway Taiwan’s online gathering place, its blog and community where distributors regularly post photos and stories about their experiences both in business and in life.
In the end, it comes down to conversation. After all, you could say that Amway brewed up the original social network.

Fantastic place to sit down and talk. I visited the R&J Cafe in the Amway Experience Plaze at Taoyuan, Taiwan. I foresee that in the future, more and more R&J Cafe shops around the corners of street in different cities. Hope it will happen soon at Shanghai.
