Serious Play
At Amway, we take play seriously.
That’s why we’re big supporters of Kaboom!’s vision of a nice place to play within walking distance of every child in America.
Their unique approach starts with Design Day, in which neighborhood children (A.K.A. Play Experts) are invited to design their dream playground. Their drawings are used to make decisions about the colors, equipment and layout of the site.
The next Kaboom! build takes place on August 27, 2010, but York Creek-area children like Juduh (pictured below), Ethan and Andrew (designs featured below) have already shared what they want.
And since lack of outdoor play has been linked to childhood obesity, behavioral problems and stunted creative development, we’re taking their ideas very seriously.
