Choosing the perfect foundation is never easy — until now.
With the introduction of the Artistry Signature Shade Finder, a simple color chart using F.A.C.E.S. technology, our scientists have developed a foolproof method for finding your exact shade of foundation.
First, determine the undertone, the relative warmth or coolness of your skintone. You do that by answering some simple questions. For example, does your skin have an olive hue or is it more pink or rosy? What colors do you look best in? These will help you choose warm, cool or neutral.
Next, determine the level, or natural depth of your skin color by matching it to one of the six levels on our chart:
- Level 1. Milk
- Level 2. Sweet Cream
- Level 3. Weak Tea
- Level 4. Milk Chocolate
- Level 5. Strong Tea
- Level 6. Espresso
And finally, using those two pieces of information, find your exact foundation shade on the Signature Shade Finder.
Life just got easier!
The coffee craze is alive and well around the world with coffee bars popping up on virtually every corner – enticing drinkers with exotic flavor profiles and compelling preparations transforming an otherwise ritualistic practice to a highly personalized experience. These days, coffee enthusiasts can savor their favorite cup exactly the way they like it.
With that in mind, Amway introduces the Artistry Café Melange Collection for spring 2014. Inspired by the darkest shot of espresso to the creamiest latte, this easy-to-wear, coffee-colored palette features eight eye color shades and the Sunrise Cheek Color Duo. Together it creates an effortlessly chic finish.
“From deep espresso brown to shimmering café au lait, the range is universally flattering and sophisticated,” explains Rick DiCecca, Artistry Global Makeup Artist. “Complemented with soft pops of color on cheeks and lips, the Café Melange Collection exudes a strong, elegant femininity that women will adore.”

ARTISTRY introduces Signature Color Lipstick exclusively from Amway. Four years in the making, the 18 classic and eight sheer shades deliver color as it was meant to be — luxurious, indulgent and ravishing.
It’s also innovative. The package’s “twist-and-click” technology was invented, patented and engineered by Catherine Ehrenberger, vice president of research and development at Amway.
“It’s a revolutionary Artistry invention,” Ehrenberger says. “This exclusive system opens and closes the tube in the most ingenious way.”
Simply twist the tube to unlock it and release the lipstick bullet. Once desired application is achieved, a small click of the tube will return the lipstick to its resting position, locking it into place.
The lipstick was also formulated from a translucent base, helping the color remain true. That means what’s seen in the bullet is what’s seen on the lips. Plus, it resists feathering and bleeding.
Signature Color Lipstick began its global rollout in February.

It has been said that good things come in threes. We’d like to think that ARTISTRY is no exception as we celebrate the beginning of a global launch of three new collections.
ARTISTRY Youth Xtend Lifting Smoothing Foundation begins with the ultimate color palette. By revamping its existing foundation palette with a truly scientific approach, the ARTISTRY team conceived of a range of colors representing the maximum number of global skintones with minimum shade offerings.
ARTISTRY Youth Xtend Ultra: Four new products specifically target the signs of advanced aging, aiming to lift both the appearance and tone of skin. Skin is micro-cleansed and its function optimized allowing anti-aging ingredients work to their best ability.
ARTISTRY Fall 2013 Galaxy Collection: Let your beauty reach beyond the stars with shimmering accents that create bright, cosmic looks. “The Galaxy Collection goes from day-to-night, working for all women, of all skin tones and of all ages,” said ARTISTRY Global Makeup Artist Rick DiCecca.
We hope you enjoy these new products as they become available in your market!
Arguably one of Monet’s most talked about artworks, “Water Lilies” both perplexed and riveted the Impressionists’ most loyal admirers in the early 1900s. The series was scrutinized for its blurry, edgeless forms and somewhat clumsy paint handling by art novices, but applauded by connoisseurs and artisans, alike, who appreciated the whimsical quality of the mural and understood its greatest facet – accumulation, the layering of color and the build-up of texture.
With “Water Lilies” as its muse, ARTISTRY introduces the stunning Enchanted Garden Spring 2013 color collection, a true work of art, comprised of spring colors for eyes, cheeks and lips, beckoning everyone to unleash their inner artist.

Zombies were the talk of the town – not to mention alive and well – at the highly anticipated Warm Bodies premiere at the Arclight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood earlier this week. The romantic zombie-comedy – cleverly coined a “zomedy romance” in film circles – stars Nicholas Hoult, John Malkovich and, as the female lead, Australian actress Teresa Palmer, who is also the global face of ARTISTRY.
Palmer literally took guests’ breath away in a stunning, sheer-lace embellished gown by Phillip Armstrong with makeup by Melanie Inglessis for ARTISTRY. The premiere attracted scores of Hollywood A-listers and entertainment industry professionals on the heels of a New York City premiere hosted by ARTISTRY and The Cinema Society. Penn Badgley, Kelly Rutherford, Amber Tamblyn, Parker Posey, Helena Christensen and Gabourey Sidibe were among the celebrities who swarmed in droves – despite the arctic temps – to show their support for the quirky love story.
Warm Bodies hits theaters today in U.S. and will roll out around the globe later this year.
More proof that big things come in small packages…

The ARTISTRY Escape to Paradise Spring and Fall 2012 Color Collections won the Silver award in the Color Collections category.
ARTISTRY Global Makeup Artist Rick DiCecca was at the runways during Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week (NYFW) last month. And just as he did with the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards, he provided us with some of his observations:
“It was very exciting to see color on the runways at NYFW, both in the fabrics and on the models’ faces. (Some of them sported a bright red lip!)
“There was a wonderful use of sheer fabrics, most of them with a soft luminosity. That was adapted into many of the makeup looks, too.
- A sheer wash of magenta on the models’ eyes at Donna Karan
- Shimmering teal at Derek Lam
- Sunny yellow eye shadow at Badgley Mischkca
- Bright color on cheeks at Ralph Lauren.
- And the smoky eye look at Gucci by Frida Giannini.
“It was also terrific to see a beautiful luminosity to the models’ skin at many of these shows. Some of it was added, but many of the girls already had that post summer glow.
“I was truly impressed with the melding of styles: ‘50s colors mixed with ‘70s graphics and ‘60s and ‘70s fashion cues melding seamlessly with modern colors. It was the continuation of color, texture and femininity, but most of all confidence as the most important fashion accessory.”
Hollywood A-listers strutted their trendy threads and posed for the paparazzi outside the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, Sunday evening prior to one of Hollywood’s most fashionable events – the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Who rocked the Red Carpet? We caught up with ARTISTRY Global Makeup Artist, Rick DiCecca, to get some of his fashion favorites.
- Heidi Klum rocked it in sea foam! Her makeup was luminous – she just keeps getting better and better.
- Ginnifer Goodwin wore a beautiful makeup trend that never gets old: sexy smoky eyes, softly defined cheeks and an almost nude lip. Perfection.
- Jessica Lange was stunning in red! With soft, natural makeup, she looked absolutely beautiful.
- Tina Fey was a big hit! Great hair, great dress and great makeup!
- Sofia Vergara, Hayden Panettiere and Christina Hendricks were definitely a few of the most beautiful during the night.
