Amway Global Sales Training Wins Award

The Amway Global web-based and instructor-led Selling 101: Getting Started curriculum recently received the Excellence in Practice Citation award from the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD). Amway Global was recognized in the “workplace learning and development” category for basic sales training courses. The award recognizes world-wide organizations from any industry for the results achieved through training programs. These award-winning training courses are accessible on the Amway Global Web site and are translated in English, Spanish, Korean, French and Chinese.

Char Griffin, Manager of Instructional Design, and her team recently traveled to the ASTD conference in Chicago to pick up the award. “It was a thrill to receive this recognition from ASTD because this organization adheres to the most rigorous standards for evaluating submissions from organizations throughout the world” said Char. “To have our training recognized in this way validates all the effort and determination that Amway Global and Allen Communication put into creating world class training for the Independent Business Owners.”

In less than a year since the launch of the web-based course, the average monthly revenue from established IBOs who took the training increased 52% from the previous year. The revenue for IBOs attending the instructor-led training was 107% higher than that of others in the same geographical area. This represented a 19% increase in monthly revenue over their sales the previous year.
