… and I'm not just saying that! In this case, everyone truly was a winner as the ARTISTRY Mother's Day contest treated us to a wonderful collection of fond reminisces, shared sentiment, and inspirational words of gratitude. There are an awful lot of mama's boys and girls — and that's the way it should be, don't you think?
But, while everyone who entered this contest or read the submissions is a winner, we do have one lucky person who, through a random draw, walked away with the ARTISTRY prize pack — valued at $250, which is out the door and on its way, just in time for Mother's Day.
So, without further ado, let's all congratulate Doug Davies of Medicine Hat, SK, whose submission earned him a little extra bragging rights (and brownie points!) this Mother's Day.

The latest in continuing series of posts about mothers in support of our Mother's Day contest comes from beauty marketer Nathalie Obregon. So, without any further ado, Nathalie:
"My mother is the heroine of my life. She's my confidante, my security blanket, my rock, my friend… the list is endless. I can cook, clean, sew, run a home seamlessly, save, recycle, ensure that no old vegetable or fruit goes to waste, bake, rewire a light fixture (or any appliance), advise and council friends and family, and take care of those in my life because she taught me how. But most of all she taught me to be fearless.
When I was little and we had first moved into our house, the creaking of the newly-built house had me terrified one stormy evening. I said, 'Mummy, there are monsters.' She said, 'Monsters?? They don't exist!' She picked up two flashlights and took me through the entire house, and we looked for monsters under every bed, in every closet, and with that showed me that I must never be afraid.
When someone asks what or who I'd like to be when I grow up, I always answer: my mother. Even at 31 it is still true. If I ever become a mother and am half the mother my mother is to my brother and I – than my child will be the most fortunate child to have lived. After me, of course.

"I’ve got good genes – thanks mom!
Sun tanning with baby-oil slathered skin, Vaseline as a moisturizer, soap and water cleansing…these were some of the skin care lessons my sisters and I gleaned from mom. Hey, it was the 70s, and now we all know better. I’ve been fortunate to share a lot of the skin care knowledge I’ve gained over the years with my mom, and now we’re both hooked on Artistry Time Defiance!
Regardless of the bad habits she had in the past, I think my mom looks better than ever. For 64, she has smooth, radiant and healthy looking skin. And since we look so much alike, I can only hope that my skin will look as great as hers as time goes by. Thanks for the genes mom!
