Online games teach kids how to care for the environment

Nov 01, 2010

Last year, we blogged about the Amway Environmental Protection Theme Park in China.

The project continues to gain momentum, now reaching 410,000 people in 14 cities across the country, run by 3,000 Amway volunteers. In fact, Zhou Jian, VP of China Ministry of Environmental Protection calls the program ”an innovation in environmental education.”

The team that launched the project has now created an online educational program that teaches children about environmental protection through fun, interactive games.

These are really fun – I’ve already spent my fair share of time playing around, like this game that teaches kids what devices to turn off in your house to save electricity. Another great idea, and contribution to helping future generations learn to care about our world.

Thanks to Alan Yi for keeping us updated on this exciting program.
