Prevention or Treatment?

Mar 04, 2011

Why not focus on both? That’s what is happening in Poland.

To prevent brain injuries and accidental deaths, Amway distributors in Poland have been promoting an education campaign for parents, which teaches how to help a child that is choking.

To help children who may already have brain injuries, Amway and its employees and distributors raised more than $120,000 over the past three years to build a treatment facility for children with brain injuries – the first of its kind in Poland.

The facility will be called the Alarm Clock Clinic, built in honor of Polish actress and poet Ewa Blaszczyk, who founded the Akogo Foundation to help victims of brain damage.

Stay tuned. We will let you know when it opens its doors this summer!
