Hosted by the Japanese Consulate

Apr 16, 2011

The Japanese Consulate in Detroit hosted a group of donors this week, ranging from corporations to society groups to university students.

We were honored to participate in the ceremony. Mr. Kuninori Matsuda, Consul General of Japan in Detroit, updated us on the rebuilding efforts, commending the spirit of the Japanese people that will drive a rapid recovery. He also acknowledged that this difficult time is forging deep relationships that will not be forgotten.

It was touching to see more than a dozen students from the University of Michigan’s business school there to show their support. It was symbolic of the hope we all expressed for the future of Japan.
