Stress less and enjoy the holidays!
Winter is the time of year to reflect inward, restore and rejuvenate our deepest selves. Unwind and cultivate yourself this holiday season. The holidays can leave one feeling stressed and overwhelmed by all the hustle and bustle of the season. Try one of these three tips to help relax and recharge yourself to a glowing and upbeat you!
Give – Helping others is good for your health. Volunteering to help those in need will help boost your mood. You never know how much giving can change people’s lives until you do it. When you focus your energy and time helping someone else, you’ll be helping yourself too.
Do less, enjoy more – The holidays can be overwhelming. There is so much to do, in such a small amount of time. We all need a bit of quiet time to recharge and regroup. Slow relaxed breathing releases stressful feelings and anxiety. Try to feel your lungs expand fully at the bottom, front, sides, back and top. When I take time to slow down, I am able to face my day more positively and more productively.
Benefit from laughter – This includes the ability to laugh at yourself. The act of laughing helps your body fight stress in a number of ways. The simple act of laughing will strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress.
