Team Nutrilite pole vaulting sensation Jenn Stuczynski broke the American Record she set less than a month ago this past weekend in Boston.
Jenn jumped a record 15-10 (4.83m) on the very same track she set the record on the first weekend in February. She was also crowned the pole vault champion of the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships, beating the competition by more than a foot.
Jenn narrowly missed winning the overall Visa Championship Series when LoLo Jones ran a 7.84 in the 60m hurdles. Read more about the event in Boston.
The Boston Indoor Games are in the book and what a great event it was for Nutrilite and Team Nutrilite athlete Jenn Stuczynski.
The Nutrilite brand was well represented – around the track, in the stands, in the consumer tent, in the IBO VIP area and of course by Jenn. In case you missed my "Live from the Boston Indoor Games" post, Jenn set the American indoor record and made a great attempt at the world record. My gut says she might well get that world record this coming weekend in Arkansas.

A lot of things can happen when you take a long weekend to celebrate our nation's birthday…
As many of you may be aware, the past week or so has been a key time for U.S. Olympic hopefuls. Two of our very own – Sanya Richards and Jenn Stuczynski – were right in the thick of things themselves. Both came through in a big way and move on to Beijing to represent the United States in the Olympics.
Jenn vaulted her way to yet another American record, besting her previous record with a 16-1.75 vault that brought a sellout crowd in Eugene to its feet. It wasn't an easy day for Jenn, however, as she missed on her first two attempts of the day and had to make an emotional third attempt just to stay in the running. Once she cleared that first bar, there was no looking back and not a person left as she broker her own American record and then made two more attempts at the world record (16-5.75). All in all, it was a record-setting weekend for Jenn, as she not only re-set the American record, she also set the Olympic Trials, National Championships, Hayward Field and U.S. All Comers records.
Sanya – No. 1 ranked in the world for the women's 400m – was fast out of the gate and strong at the end for nearly a one second victory in the 400m. The victory was sweet redemption for Sanya, who finished a disappointing 4th at the 2007 Nationals.
Sanya's run wasn't quite the roller coaster ride that Jenn's was, but both are at the top of their game with 8-8-08 looming less than a month away.
This past weekend at the adidas Track Classic in Los Angeles, Nutrilite-sponsored athlete Jenn Stuczynski broke her own American record, vaulting 16 feet, 3/4 inches. The nearest competition was nearly a foot and a half from her mark.
Jenn now has her sights clearly set on world record holder Yelena Isinbayeva – the only woman to ever vault higher (16 feet, 5-1/2 inches). Her next opportunity to make a run at the record comes Saturday, May 31 at the Reebok Grand Prix in New York City.
Congrats Jenn! We look forward to seeing you go for the world record!
