In case you missed the big news last week, Amway and the Detroit Red Wings have embarked upon an unprecedented partnership. Amway has become the first ever presenting sponsor of the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings, arguably the most storied franchise in league history. Simply put, the Red Wings are the Yankees, Cowboys and Celtics of hockey. The Wings were one of the original six teams that started the National Hockey League, have 11 championships -most for any American team in the league and third most in history, have the longest current post-season streak in any North American based sport (20 straight), and are steeped in history.
What does that mean for Nutrilite? Big things. Nutrilite is now the official nutritional supplement of the Detroit Red Wings.
It means that in addition to our great spokesman Kurt Warner and partnerships with elite runner Kara Goucher and the Rock ‘n Roll Marathon series, we have partnered with some of the top sports properties in the United States. It means that our world-class line of nutrition products will fuel even more of the top athletes in the world. It means another feather in the cap for our wonderful Amway Independent Business Owners all over North America.
The team here is already hard at work coming up with ideas on how to share the partnership. It might be in product packaging. It will be online and via social media. It may be a la our global partnership with AC Milan, where we work with the trainer and players to make subtle changes to diet and supplement practices in an effort to maximize performance.
At any rate, rest assured that we will put this grand partnership to work for our IBO force and their customers. Look for myriad tie-ins in the near future, especially with hockey season just weeks away. Until then… Go Wings, Go Amway, Go Nutrilite!
